The Chamonix' peaks viewed from the Praz, asleep in the cold
The first sunbeams on the Drus and the Verte...
... while Sylvain and Audrey try to get warmer
Sylvain can now benefit from the sun in the windwoods going to the Flegere
Audrey, and me, adjusting my rucksac
At the beginning of the coomb Lachenal
Our progress is slowed down by a thin sheet of recent snow who stick under our skis !
Audrey and Sylvain go out the forest to climb the beginning of the Lachenal's coomb
The coomb gets progressively wider and wider and the snow is becoming more homogen : yes !
Sylvain contemplate the valley and prepare his pinhole
The Index and the top of the Lachenal's coomb
The pass of the Gliere at the back of the valley
At last, we change our target : we like the look of the sharp bends going to the pass of the black lakes !
Unrestricted view on the Drus...
And we begin to zigzag
Audrey, and behind her : the Drus
Lighting effect on the tracks
The Mont-Blanc behind a few peaks which belong to the aiguilles Rouges
The pass of Lacs Noirs in the background
And I arrive on the bump where we are going to have a snack. Audrey is finishing too !
And Bub is just behind us
We don not go to the top of the pass : some sheet of snow are visible...
But the view here is beautiful enough !
The Aiguilles Rouges in the foreground, the Mont-Blanc in the second one, and a plane in the background
The Drus, the Mer de Glace, and the Grandes Jorasses
The sun fade quickly on the 31th december !
Sylvain and Audrey with the Chamonix's peaks
Steep corridor below us, with certainly a few cliffs...
The light is so beautiful at the end of the afternoon !
Snow, Mont-Blanc, and planes...
It is getting freezing : it is time to go down !
First bends on a crusted snow...
A last photo from our bump before skiing down
These slopes do not receive much sun in december, and the powder snow is excellent !
There is powder snow, and we are alone !
We can make our tracks !
It is so good !
A last slope before joining the Lachenal's coomb
Sunset on the Drus while we arrive in the valley
